It was probably inhabited at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries and it was probably used as a military base for the Berk’s of Dubé. The castle was situated on two cliff, which are separated from each other and the access route by crevasses. It appears as Bandit’s castle on a forestry map dating from 1736.
The remains of this cliff-top castle are accessible along a side path from the green sign-posted hiking path from Brtník to Doubice.
